Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Whispart respects the privacy of collectors, customers, and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, when we disclose it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you.
At a glance
- We collect only information reasonably needed to operate the website, process and deliver orders, prepare collector documentation, provide support, and prevent fraud.
- PayPal processes payment credentials. Whispart does not ordinarily receive or store complete card numbers, CVV codes, or bank login credentials.
- We do not sell personal information for money and do not currently share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Our current website configuration uses commerce, payment, communication, security, and shipping services rather than behavioral advertising trackers.
- You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of eligible information.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address;
- order details, artwork selections, framing choices, order value, transaction reference, and delivery status;
- the name you request for a certificate, or a request to use “Private Collection” instead;
- customer-service messages, address confirmations, cancellation requests, return requests, and refund information;
- photographs or other evidence submitted for a damage, delivery, authenticity, or return claim;
- marketing preferences and information you voluntarily provide through a subscription form; and
- any other information you choose to send to us.
2.2 Payment information
Payments are processed through PayPal. Whispart normally receives limited transaction information, such as payment status, transaction identification, buyer name, email address, shipping address, eligibility or risk indicators, and refund or dispute status. PayPal processes payment credentials under its own agreements and privacy practices.
2.3 Information collected automatically
SHOPLINE and other essential technical providers may automatically process information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, shopping-cart activity, session identifiers, approximate location, timestamps, and security or fraud-prevention signals.
2.4 Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies and similar technologies may be used to maintain your cart, operate checkout, remember basic preferences, keep sessions secure, prevent abuse, and operate the website. Whispart does not currently use Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Microsoft Clarity, or comparable cross-site behavioral advertising tools.
If we later introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
3. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- accept, verify, process, assemble, document, package, ship, and deliver orders;
- confirm the collector name to appear on a certificate and maintain the artwork archive record;
- send order confirmations, studio-preparation updates, tracking information, delivery notices, and service messages;
- respond to questions, cancellations, returns, damaged-delivery claims, refunds, and PayPal disputes;
- verify addresses and identify fraudulent, unauthorized, automated, or abusive activity;
- maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the website and related accounts;
- maintain accounting, customs, tax, certificate, transaction, and legal records;
- improve our products, packaging, support, and fulfillment process; and
- send optional marketing communications when you have subscribed or when otherwise permitted by law.
4. When we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
- SHOPLINE and website infrastructure providers, for storefront, cart, account, checkout, and security functions;
- PayPal, for payment processing, fraud review, refunds, and disputes;
- international logistics, customs, tracking, and last-mile carriers, including services used to provide tracking through 17TRACK, for clearance and delivery;
- email and communication providers, for transactional messages and customer support;
- professional advisers, including accountants, insurers, and legal advisers, where reasonably necessary; and
- authorities, platforms, payment providers, or carriers, when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect rights and safety, or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Our printing, framing, and packaging partners normally receive internal specifications and our Kunming delivery information—not the final collector’s identity or U.S. delivery address.
5. International processing
Whispart operates from China and serves customers in the United States. Your information may therefore be processed in China, the United States, and other locations where SHOPLINE, PayPal, logistics providers, email providers, and their service partners operate. Privacy and data-protection rules may differ between jurisdictions.
6. Data retention
We apply the following working retention periods, subject to legal requirements and active disputes:
| Record category | Typical retention period |
|---|---|
| Orders, payments, customs, certificates, tax records, and dispute evidence | 7 years |
| General customer-service communications | 2 years after the matter is closed |
| Damage, return, and delivery photographs | 2 years after the claim is closed |
| Inactive marketing leads | Deleted or anonymized after 24 months without meaningful interaction |
Records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for an active dispute, legal hold, fraud pattern, accounting requirement, certificate provenance record, or other legal obligation. We may retain an artwork’s archive record without publicly identifying the collector.
7. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
We may retain information that is reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, maintain certificate provenance, satisfy accounting or legal requirements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or protect legal rights. To protect your information, we may verify a request using the email address and transaction details associated with the order.
8. Sale and advertising use of information
Whispart does not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or upload customer lists to advertising platforms for audience targeting. If that practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required opt-out method.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small online business, including access controls, account security measures, transaction records, and security review procedures. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please protect your PayPal account, email account, device, and any Whispart account credentials. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity.
10. Children
Whispart is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Purchasers must have legal capacity to enter into a contract in their jurisdiction, which is ordinarily 18 years of age.
11. Third-party websites and services
Our website may link to PayPal, social platforms, carriers, or other independent services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Whispart is not responsible for the independent privacy or security practices of third parties.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our services, technology, legal obligations, or service providers change. The revised version will display a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through an additional website or email notice where appropriate.
